This work is a completely revised, reset and greatly enlarged edition of the second part of Harrap’s Standard French and English Dictionary, compiled and edited by J.E.Mansion. First published over eighty years ago, the original Standard Dictionary has since gained a unique reputation for being second to none in the field of bilingual French dictionaries. Although three supplements have been added since 1950 to update this work, both the continued and rapid evolution of the two languages and the publication of the revised edition of the English-French part in 1972 have meant that an entirely new edition of the English-French part has become a vital necessity.
