This pharmaceutical dictionary is the first attempt to give the equivalents of technical terms used in pharmaceutical technology in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.Pharmaceutical technology is one of ther branches of the pharmaceutical sciences which has undergone remarkable progress over the past twenty-five years. Its development is matched by a considerable enrichment of specific technical terminology. With each new issue of specialized periodicals and each monograph, new terms, as related to recent developments and the expansion of existing ones, comes into general usage.
The purpose of this dictionary is to facilitate international exchange of information and the comprehension of foreign technical literature in this varied field. Some related subjects such as pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, marketing, etc. have also been included.
The work comprises a basic table of the English terms and their synonyms, arranged alphabetically, followed by their translation in French, Italian, Spanish and German. The second part includes indexes of each of these languages with a reference to the number in the basic table where corresponding translations into the other languages can be found.
